Symbols Effect

Symbols Effect drops an uploaded image or video onto a GPU canvas and splits it into four brightness bands, stamping each band with a tiny repeating symbol tinted in its own color so the picture is redrawn as a field of marks. Swap the symbols, recolor each band, and drag where the brightness thresholds fall, watching video play through the effect in real time. Save the current frame as a PNG or record the running animation to a video file. Everything runs in the browser with nothing uploaded, and the renderer code sits on the page to drop into your own project.
